BharathLink — A Proposed Verified Digital Identity and Communication Trust Layer
"The authorised source verifies the identity. BharathLink carries the verification. The service displays the result."
The Problem
Every day, millions of people in India receive calls, messages, emails, and payment requests — without any real way of knowing who is actually on the other end. Fraud calls, fake identities, spoofed messages, and impersonation scams have eroded trust in digital communication itself. Banks, institutions, and businesses struggle to reliably prove their identity to customers. As a result, even genuine communication is met with suspicion — while scammers continue to exploit this trust gap.
The Solution
BharathLink proposes a Verified Digital Identity and Communication Trust Layer — designed to connect verified identity signals across calls, messages, email, payments and participating digital services, so participating services can present a stronger, verifiable identity signal to users. Our vision is an India where every digital interaction — whether a phone call or a payment — happens with trust, without doubt.
What BharathLink Is Not
To avoid confusion, BharathLink is not a telecom operator, not a bank, not a replacement for UPI or Aadhaar, and not a government identity database.
BharathLink is proposed as a trust and verification layer that connects authorised identity signals with participating digital communication and payment experiences.
